My name is Farhinbanu Shabanabanu Shaikh. I am from Dholka, Ahmedabad. I became a self- dependent person in order to provide for my family’s needs with certainty and stability. I stepped up to take the responsibility to earn bread for my family and to get an experience as an employee.

Through the internet I reached out to the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Kendra, Ahmedabad Centre. I went there to enquire about skill development programmes and seek relevant information. The counselor who was present over there explained about all the courses in detail and I absorbed the information with great interest. As I completed my B.com, I got interested in the ‘General Duty Assistant’ course. I applied for and completed the three month course. The experience with the staff and the tutor was amazing. The centre helped me with my transportation related issues by providing me with financial assistance. Soon I recalled the situation back at home. I immediately decided to take up any job and help my family. I was very happy to know that this is free from the government. I made up my mind that I would like to complete this course. Additionally, in this course a computer subject is also taught.

Getting a job after that was like a dream. I studied ‘General duty Assistant’ course here with deep interest and got a job at MD India PVT. LTD. as a computer analyst with salary of Rs. 9,000 per month. I am tasked to do registration work under the Ayushmaan Bharat Insurance scheme. This program run by the government has changed my life and greatly benefitted me. After completing this training, my life’s aim has changed thanks to the job I got. Now I can proceed in my life and achieve anything. I will bring my position up in society. I have no words to praise this initiative undertaken by the Indian Government. I am very grateful to the Government for organising such a training programme free of cost for students of economically challenged families and the Government has taken the responsibility for searching and giving them jobs too.

I will proceed as per my will and provide guidance and inspiration to all youngsters of our society.
